Activate MB SD C4 2016.03 DAS Xentry on Win8 step-by-step

Mercedes Benz MB Star diagnostic MB SD Connect C4 2016.03 DAS Xentry comes with 500GB Win7 HDD and Win8 HDD. Here is the instruction on MB Star DAS, Xentry,EPC Windows 8 activation.

Open StartKeyCenter software on desktop

COPY HW-ID:XXXXXXXXXXXX & APP-ID:XXX r

Mbstarshop engieer will send you back the Startkey. Paste the Startkey and activate Xentry.

Run Xentry

DAS

Run the software “Get Hardware ID ” , copy the generated hardware ID to our dealer for the license.reg file.

Run file”license.re

EPC

Open EPC&WIS.net

Login with User : admin password: 12345

Click “Server” ->“Edit the access authorization ”

Send us the Lan-ID , We will give you a new startkey. Paste the new startkey

Run EPC.net

MB SD Connect C4 no access authorization code solution

Problem:

One of the customer has run Mercedes MB SD Connect C4 diagnostic system with star diagnostic 2015.12V DAS Xentry on Lenovo T410 with Virtual Machine. But when he tried to install the software,the system prompt an error message "No Access authorization code! You must contact the User Help Desk.", error screen shots taken as below:

Possible reason:

MB SD C4 star diagnostic software has not been activated. 

Solution:

Please follow our activation pdf guide to find your activation ID and send the ID to obd365.com customer service. Our technician will send back the activation code to help you activate the software.

If you had ordered the MB SD C4+Dell D630 software, software are pre-installed and ready to use. 

Mercedes MB Star C3 diagnostic Xentry 3.17 error (fixed)

Problem:

When open the MB Star C3 diagnostic system Xentry software, the system pops up Xentry 3.17 error.

Here is the solution by obd365.com technician:

Delete the lic_key_2.dat and lic_key_2x4712 files under LicDir folder.
 Follow the instruction to re-activate the star diagnostic DAS and Xentry software.

If still not working after activation, you need to send the MB star C3 multiplexer hardware back to repair.

How to activate MB SD Connect 4 diagnostic DAS and Xentry

Following displays the step-by-step guide of activating Mercedes Benz MB SD Connect Compact 4 diagnostic system DAS and Xentry software. Same activation procedures goes to Super MB Star and MB Star C3 multiplexer as well. 

Open your Star diagnostic software
Set you com port to Com2 , 115200

 Open the EPC_Net

Login with User : admin passwd: 12345

 Click “Server”

Click “Edit the access authorization ”

 Send us the Lan-ID , We will give you a new startkey, Paste the new startkey

Active xentry 

Open the StarUtilities

Send us you Xentry HW-ID and App-ID

 We will give you the new startkey, Save the new startkey

 Go to C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\LicDir

Set the lic_key_2.dat file properties to ‘Read-only’

 Active DAS : 

Open Xentry

Choose 221 model

 Click ‘Diagnostic’ button

Send us the Fingerprint ID

 We will give you the name and key

 Now everything is done!
