WIS installation instruction:

Install Admin Tool

Select start

Internet Explorer prompt: select Yes.

Select Start registration.

Select Run at the bottom prompt.

Select Run at the bottom prompt.

Installing …

Select a language and click OK.

Click Next.

Click Next.

Installing EWA…

Click Next.

Finished installing EWA Admin Tool, and click Finish.

Check WIS Startkey

Select Startkey and copy NAC address to ID in HP-EVA Keygen interface.

Set the Expiration dates.

Copy EPCnet to its Startkey, and WISnet to its Startkey.

Close HP-EVA Keygen interface.

Click Save in EWA Admin Tool.

Startkey successfully saved. Click Exit.

Install WIS database

Select WIS and click Install WIS database.

Prompt: WIS installation

1 check WIS Startkey

2 check WIS information medium

3 copy all WIS files to hard disk

4 install new EWA software version (optional)

5 test new WIS database

6 install new WIS database

7 carry out correction of work steps

8 set up latest WIS documents

Installing WIS database…

Click Continue.

Click Continue.

Click Confirm.

Click Continue.

Click Continue.

Click Continue.

WIS database installation completes.

Click Exit.

Select Yes to exit Admin Tool.

Set up EWA

Select Favorites>>EWA net>>EWA net.

Enter User and Password (admin, admin) to Log in.

Change password and click OK.

Select Workshop.

Country: U.S.A.(705)

Click Save.

Select Group>>Administrator group.

Select EPC access authorization: As workshop access authorization

Select WIS/ASRA access authorization: As workshop access authorization

Click Save.

Click OK.

Run EWA

Again, select Favorites>>EWA net>>EWA net.

Log in with new password.

Click WIS/ASRA.

Close the interface of “ WIS/ASRA-what’s new…”

2. From the 1st Image (1of1_b1) you browsing the \ewa\ folder and you running the Setup.exe file!

3. You following your Screen Instructions and you waiting with patience till EWA-NET Basic Platform to finish the Installation!

4. When this Step/Part finish you using the Common/Famous ORIGINAL Guide that sitting in the SAME Image in the
\ewa\readme\ folder and i talking about the "Users_Guide_to_Installation_EWA.pdf" file!

5. You following this guide about the Steps that you need to make about HOW you will Register in your EWA-NET,
HOW you will Activate/Put your EWA-NET Keys, HOW in general you will configure your EWA-NET about EVERYTHING!

6. When you will finish about ALL those configurations, you running your Admin Tool and you importing
your EPC DataBase! The Admin Tool it will ask you in WITCH partition you prefer to install the DataBase!
Choose the partition that you have the MOST FREE Space! EPC needs around 18+ GB Free Space!

7. When you will finish the importing about your EPC DataBase, you running your EWA-NET and then you running
your EPC Program! Configure also from System Button your Language, etc and then CLOSE everything!
NOTE: Manage to using IE 7.0 or 8.0 and also manage to have in your IE FULL Access ANYWHERE and NO
any "Blocking" situations!
Also Mozilla Firefox working PERFECT, EVEN when EWA-NET "Reporting" about NO Compatible!

8. Now for to create your Shortcut in your Desktop about your EPC, go in your Control Panel
and open your Java! Then "View" and in the Field "Applications" you must watching the EPC Java Icon!
1x Click on this Icon, then right Click and choose "Install Shortcuts"!

WHEN you will need in your near future to Update your EPC, you will mount the Update Image/s

but you following the Instructions from the EPC Guide that i describe and you Adding the WIS/ASRA Database as you making about EPC!
This we calling WIS/ASRA EWA-NET Full "Type"!
The DVD's that you will mount for this procedure they are:
- WIS_XXXX_1of2 or WIS_XXXX_1of1 (depend if you installing FULL or Update Version...)
- WIS_XXXX_2of2

About the desktop Shortcut you following the SAME Procedure as you made about EPC!
Just 1st manage to run WIS/ASRA from your EWA-NET as you made and about EPC!
Again WHEN you will need in your near future to Update your WIS/ASRA, you will mount the Update Image/s

How to access Benz 500SL wiring diagram in WIS

I tried to find a wiring diagram for a Mercedes-Benz 129 500SL, but it did not come up with anything in the WIS/ASRA program. But when i used the same search method, but for a W210, it brought up several wiring diagrams.
My 129 500SL:

I had no trouble printing the wiring diagram using either the icon at top right, or the “file” pull down from menu bar.

In order to produce a pdf, I simply printed to a utility I have on my computer called Cute pdf that shows up in the list of printers and then saved the file to my main Windows 7 desktop, or anywhere else that I chose.

The other thing you might try, is a Full Text Search (instead of Standard search). Put in a couple of words regarding the system you are interested in and do an advanced search. I came up with all sorts of stuff that related to 129 chassis. But did not try to narrow it down.

UPDATE! If you enter the car as a 129 using (chassis Mode, click on all for Major Assemblies (for now). Then click on Table of Contents. A list will appear on lower part of screen that will include wiring diagrams under several sections. Keep clicking and you may find section you need!

How to install Mercedes EPC on Mac Pro with OS 10

This is a real customer review on Mercedes EPC Electronic Parts Catalogue working on Apple laptop Mac Pro with OS X 10.9.5 and Parallels Desktop 11.1.1. Quoted from the benzworld forum and hope this helps those Mac pro users.

“I was able to get this running on my Mac. I have a Mac Pro with OS X 10.9.5 and Parallels Desktop 11.1.1. I expect this will work on any recent version of OS X and Parallels Desktop.

Before you begin, you need to unpack the contents of the 4 DVDs. I highly recommend doing this in a folder of its own, as you'll get 71 files and folders. The process to extract it all goes about like you'd expect on a Mac. I use UnRar X.

Once you have all that extracted, then you can convert the VMware virtual machine to a Parallels VM. To do this, open up Parallels Desktop, then select File->New... This will bring up the New Virtual Machine dialog. Click on the button that says Add Existing Virtual Machine. Navigate to the directory you just created and select the file Mercedes Virtual PC.vmx . Then go get dinner. The conversion will take a while.

Once it's done, there's one more thing you need to do to get the software running. The conversion process does not copy over the MAC address (the hardware ID) of the VMware virtual machine. You need to do this manually. Go to the Parallels Desktop Control Center and right-click (or control-click) on the Mercedes Virtual PC entry (there might be two; if so, you want the one that does not have the option Convert... in the right-click menu). Select the Configure... option. This will bring up the configuration dialog. Click on the Hardware button at the top, then Network 1 in the list on the left. Now, click on the triangle next to Advanced Settings. The result should look like this (might be a little different if you're running an older Parallels, but the idea is the same):

The box highlights what you need to change. Enter the highlighted MAC address - 00:0c:29:e6:6f:b5 - exactly as shown, then close the dialog. You can now start the virtual machine and go to town. Works fine on my system.

I should note that there is no VMware Player for OS X. Instead, they want you to buy VMware Fusion, though you can download it and try it for 30 days. I did that, but was not successful in running the WIS/ASRS/EPC system on it. I also did not try it on VirtualBox, though it might work there.”

DIY unlock MB SD Connect C4 by modifying PCB

“If your Mercedes-Benz Star diagnosis SD Connect c4 is locked, do not need to buy a new set and just change this chip is ok.” said a Mercedes owner with MB SD C4 diagnostic tool.

PCB modification procedure:

1- Carefully open the sd connect multiplexer

2- Check whether some part is easy broken

MB SD Connect C4 printed circuit board in a good condition should be:

Maybe batteries leaked and damaged the PCB.
4- Blow the chip marked with a red circle by a electric hair drier

5- Disassemble the chip

6- Write the program to a new chip
